Refuse Collector

The role supports municipal refuse services by completing routes safely, responding to service concerns, and helping cover routes when a driver is unavailable.

What you'll do

• Collect garbage and yard trash from residential homes and businesses
• replace bins in appropriate locations
• collect and dispose of miscellaneous items
• respond to refuse-related questions and complaints and report them to a supervisor
• operate a garbage truck packer and hand tools
• clean the truck
• complete time cards or other documents
• serve as a relief driver when needed.
