The Senior Security Engineer II — AI Security role is hybrid, with three days each week in Hi Marley’s Boston, MA office. Annual base salary is $121,000–$226,000. Hi Marley builds AI-powered software to improve communication between property and casualty insurers and their customers. Working within security architecture and frameworks established by senior security leadership, this engineer implements protections for the company’s internal AI environment. Threat modeling, adversarial testing, governance of agents and connectors, and audit-ready evidence help the organization use AI securely and responsibly.

What you'll do

• Apply AI security patterns to LLM integrations, agent frameworks, MCP connectors, and data pipelines
• lead threat modeling and implement controls for agent isolation, least privilege, credentials, and data boundaries
• maintain an inventory of AI tools and integrations
• assess internal AI tools and providers
• conduct AI red-team testing and drive remediation
• manage agent and MCP connector lifecycle and tool reviews
• maintain incident response runbooks and metrics
• produce compliance evidence for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 42001
• collaborate with AI Operations and Corporate IT on platform security
• contribute employee guidance on safe AI use.
