The Donation Sorter – Part-Time, Treasure Chest role is onsite in Joliet, IL, and pays $15.00 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., up to 25 hours per week. MorningStar Mission serves people in need through food, clothing, shelter, and its faith-based mission. The Donation Sorter prepares donated goods for sale and helps keep the thrift store’s department and sales floor organized, clean, and stocked. The role also supports donors and customers and contributes to the store’s daily operations.

What you'll do

• Sort, inspect, price, tag, and display donated clothing and accessories
• maintain an organized and stocked department
• rotate and replenish merchandise
• remove damaged or unsellable items
• follow safety, loss-prevention, and store procedures
• assist donors and customers
• answer phones
• prepare donations for sale
• perform housekeeping and help stock the sales floor
• assist with coworker training.
