Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Job overview

The Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Control role is onsite five days per week in Santa Ana, CA. Base salary is $100,000–$135,000 per year, plus benefits. The role leads the quality department for a consumer products manufacturer. The position builds or rebuilds the quality management system, establishes production-floor inspection protocols, and develops documented accountability structures for the quality-control team. It supports consistent product quality through compliance monitoring, metrics, corrective actions, and communication with leadership and customers.

What you'll do

• Build or rebuild the quality management system
• establish production-floor inspection protocols

• enforce customer and internal specification compliance
• track KPIs, defects, scrap, and yield
• present quality metrics to leadership
• handle customer quality disputes and document corrective actions
