Job overview
The Life Enrichment Aide role is in person in Wausau, WI, and pays $19.40–$21.13 per hour, plus a $1.50 shift differential for hours worked between 2:00 PM and 6:00 AM. The schedule is 11:30 AM–8:00 PM, 32 hours per week, including every third weekend. North Central Health Care provides mental health, addiction, long-term care, short-term care, physical therapy, and other services. The aide plans and leads person-centered activities that support residents’ physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well-being. The role also supports resident engagement, documents participation and observations, and collaborates with care teams; limited CNA support tasks and transportation for outings may be included.
What you'll do
- Plan and lead group, small-group, sensory, and one-on-one activities
- tailor programs to residents’ functional and cognitive levels, including within the dementia program
- coordinate special events and community outings
- prepare activity materials and spaces
- encourage independent leisure
- assist with meals, mobility, transfers, and toileting as appropriate
- document attendance and observations
- report changes to nursing or supervisory staff
- participate in care planning as appropriate
- maintain safe program areas and support volunteer coordination.
