Part-Time Behavior Technician (STRTP)

The Part-Time Behavior Technician (STRTP) works onsite in Sunland, CA, with weekend-only scheduling and morning or 11:00 AM–7:30 PM shifts. Pay is $22 per hour. Tree House Youth Homes provides a structured, therapeutic residential program for adolescents focused on healing, emotional regulation, and movement toward family-based settings. The role provides direct care and supervision while helping residents follow therapeutic routines, build coping and social skills, and engage with school and activities. The technician uses trauma-informed support, documents observations and incidents, and collaborates with the treatment team on residents’ goals.

What you'll do

• Provide direct care, supervision, engagement, and daily support to adolescent residents
• maintain a safe, structured therapeutic environment
• assist with routines, hygiene, school readiness, meals, transitions, and activities
• use redirection and de-escalation
• reinforce coping, emotional regulation, social skills, and problem-solving
• report observations and complete shift documentation
• conduct facility checks
• protect confidentiality and collaborate with treatment staff.
