The Staff Quantum Physicist role is onsite in Boulder, CO; the targeted annual salary is $166,000–$256,000, plus eligibility to participate in an annual incentive plan. Infleqtion’s mission is to commercialize atom-based quantum technologies for sensing and computing applications. This hands-on technical leadership role advances neutral-atom quantum computing systems through design, integration, experimentation, and operation. It translates program goals into technical plans, improves system performance, and provides technical direction and team development while contributing to cross-functional delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead design, integration, calibration, operation, and improvement of neutral-atom quantum computing systems
• translate program goals into requirements and experimental plans
• design and analyze experiments and physics-based models
• own system validation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, reliability, and documentation
• develop Python tools for experiment control and analysis
• review technical work
• manage up to six direct reports
• contribute to hiring, proposals, intellectual property, roadmaps, and external technical discussions.
