Aquatics Supervisor, Waterfront

The Aquatics Supervisor, Waterfront role is onsite in Warwick, RI, with pay of $21 per hour. The position supports the Greater Providence YMCA camp waterfront program under the direction of the Camp Director and reports to the Aquatics Director. The supervisor plans and oversees safe swimming, boating, and other water activities, while training and coordinating waterfront staff. The role helps ensure activities follow YMCA guidelines and supports safe, appropriate programming for campers and staff.

What you'll do

• Supervise waterfront guards, including scheduling, time-off approvals, discipline, and certification and training
• plan and implement safe swimming, boating, canoeing, and other water activities
• train camp staff and assign responsibilities
• evaluate waterfront staff
• conduct in-service training
• oversee swimming ability testing and classification
• report operations to directors
• maintain equipment
• oversee waterfront opening, closing, and cleaning
• conduct water-quality testing
• develop special events
• help assemble and dismantle the docking system.
