Logistics Support Specialist

The Logistics Support Specialist role is onsite in Blacksburg, VA. The anticipated starting pay range is $20.00–$24.00 per hour. VPT provides power conversion solutions for avionics, military, space, and industrial applications; this role supports its Logistics Department, which manages finished goods inventory and shipments. The specialist provides administrative support across office operations and cross-trains in Accounts Receivable to provide departmental coverage. Order processing, shipping inquiries, export compliance data, reporting, and inventory checks help the department coordinate shipments and maintain accurate records.

What you'll do

• Provide Accounts Receivable backup by processing and applying cash receipts
• manage sales order processing, physical file creation, and document printing
• respond to intercompany inquiries about shipping schedules, item availability, and order history
• enter data into the export compliance system for pre-shipment verification
• compile and distribute scheduled reports using ERP and reporting systems
• support facility operations by answering the main phone line, stocking supplies, and submitting maintenance requests
• coordinate with headquarters and other departments
• participate in quarterly stock checks using handheld inventory scanners.
