The Phlebotomist role is onsite in Brandon, FL, and pays $16 per hour. The position supports Suncoast Community Health Centers’ laboratory services and patient care. The role collects and prepares blood specimens, performs approved waived testing, and maintains accurate laboratory documentation so providers and reference laboratories receive properly identified samples and results. It also supports patient communication, equipment readiness, quality assurance, and collaboration with clinical and laboratory colleagues.

What you'll do

• Perform venous and capillary blood collection for patients of all ages
• label, prepare, accession, and document specimens
• perform approved waived testing
• report abnormal results to ordering providers and confirm verbal reference-lab results
• maintain laboratory logs and equipment
• assist patients with required forms
• participate in quality assurance and support training of new laboratory personnel and students.
