What you'll do

• Gather patient concerns and medical history
• record information in medical records
• perform visual acuity, stereopsis, color vision, visual field, and pressure tests
• use ophthalmic instruments
• administer eye drops
• assess pupils
• stock and prepare exam rooms
• explain specified patient agreements
• maintain electronic health records
• scribe for optometrists and physicians, including coding and documentation
• follow HIPAA and safety policies.
