Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Support Specialist role is a full-time, onsite position serving clients in their homes, designated office space, and community locations in Idaho Falls, ID. Compensation is $17–$23 per hour. The role supports Tueller Counseling’s Community Work department. Using lived experience, training, and experiential knowledge, the specialist mentors members as they pursue self-identified recovery and resiliency goals. The work includes collaborative recovery planning, encouragement of self-determination, connection to recovery resources, and documentation of services.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with members and people they select to create and review individualized recovery plans
• support member ownership of plans and encourage self-determination, hope, insight, and skill development
• connect members with recovery resources and community support
• document interventions and submit required notes, plans, reviews, and timesheets
• attend assigned weekly meetings and report abuse allegations as required.
