SMT Equipment Technician

Job overview

The SMT Equipment Technician role is onsite in Andover, MA. Pay is $30–$35 per hour, with shift differential up to 20%. The role supports a manufacturing company's production equipment and manufacturing and test engineering groups. The technician maintains and repairs production equipment to support production schedules and reliable equipment operation. The role also provides technical support to operators, improves equipment setups and documentation, and may assist with tests and studies for new or existing equipment and processes.

What you'll do

• Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs on V•I Chip production equipment
• provide technical support to production operators
• maintain and purchase spare-parts and supplies inventories
• prepare maintenance reports
• improve, debug, and optimize setups and changeovers
• improve equipment maintenance documentation
• support manufacturing and test engineering groups
• may conduct tests and studies to qualify new equipment or processes and verify existing functionality
• train and evaluate operators.
