Power Plant Operator

Job overview

The Power Plant Operator role is onsite in Corinth, NY, with rotating shifts and variable workdays; overtime availability is required. Compensation is $70,000–$75,000 per year, depending on experience. The role supports Indeck Corinth Energy Center’s operation of a combined-cycle power plant and its goal of providing reliable power using environmentally sound approaches. The operator monitors plant operations, troubleshoots irregularities, assists with equipment repairs, and performs assigned water-treatment control tasks. Accurate records and attentive operation help maintain reliable plant performance and safe operations.

What you'll do

• Communicate orally and in writing
• assist with equipment repairs
• perform assigned analysis and control of treated water
• complete cleaning duties
• check plant operations for difficulties or irregularities and troubleshoot as needed
• maintain journals, logs, maintenance and equipment records, and reports
• work rotating shifts and be available for overtime.
