Meat Market Manager

The Meat Market Manager role is onsite in Tuscaloosa, AL. Pay is $17–$21 per hour. The manager oversees the meat department at Fresh Value #90 – Cottondale. The role leads daily department operations to maintain fresh, high-quality products, food safety, and customer service. It also manages inventory, staffing, sales, and costs to support department goals and the store’s shopping experience.

What you'll do

• Oversee meat cutting, preparation, packaging, and merchandising
• monitor inventory, order products and supplies, reduce waste, and rotate stock
• train, schedule, and supervise staff
• address customer questions and complaints
• ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP, FDA, and local requirements
• develop sales strategies and promotional displays
• maintain product quality and cleanliness
• manage the department budget and labor costs
• coordinate with store management and other departments.
