Job overview
The Medical Assistant role is onsite in South Milwaukee, WI, supporting a new clinic location scheduled to open. Compensation is not specified. The Medical Assistant supports providers and patients with clinical and administrative work in an outpatient setting. What you'll do
- Perform pre-visit screenings and obtain vital signs
- record patient history and visit information in the electronic medical record
- assist with provider-led exams and procedures
- conduct and document point-of-care tests
- administer and document vaccines
- maintain exam-room readiness and supplies
- follow specimen, testing, and EKG protocols
- respond to emergencies per clinic protocol
- coordinate appointments and referrals
- assist with check-in, check-out, and discharge summaries
- process and route test results
- manage correspondence and maintain records
- communicate between patients and providers and support patient education.

Why this role
