The Workforce Development Specialist role is onsite in Riverdale Park, MD, with compensation of $25 per hour. This contractor position is 30 hours per week, onsite Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and ends June 20, 2027. Latin American Youth Center’s mission is to empower youth through programs addressing social, academic, and career needs.

What you'll do

• Develop and facilitate workforce readiness programming for youth ages 16–24
• provide practical training in career exploration, resumes, job applications, interviewing, workplace communication, digital literacy, and financial and systems literacy
• support career-ready portfolios and tangible workshop outcomes
• maintain a youth career resource hub
• build relationships with employers and training providers
• coordinate career-connected activities
• lead EARN Early Childhood Education career-readiness programming
• provide individual or small-group support
• and track participation and employment or training outcomes.
