The Kitchen Manager role is onsite in Salt Lake City, UT. Pay is $21 per hour. The role supports Odyssey House’s kitchen operations and vocational programming for clients. Odyssey House provides substance abuse treatment, prevention, and mental health services. The position exists to manage safe, compliant kitchen operations and meal preparation while maintaining audit readiness. It contributes by overseeing procurement, inventory, sanitation, staffing, and food-safety training for clients in vocational programming.

What you'll do

• Manage food purchasing, receiving, preparation, sanitation, inventory, and quality standards
• maintain audit readiness and required records
• oversee vendor and food bank relationships
• monitor food preparation, portion control, and temperatures
• serve as contact for inspections
• train and supervise clients in vocational kitchen programming
• schedule kitchen operations and staffing
• maintain equipment and cleaning schedules
• ensure regulatory compliance
• provide safe equipment and hazardous-material training.

Why this role

Food Safety Manager Certification (ServSafe or state-approved) is required within 30 days of hire; a valid food handler permit is required at start if not already certified. Variable shifts may be required.
