Job overview

The Medical Assistant role is onsite in Tucson, AZ, with pay of $18–$20 per hour. The position supports Desert Sage Behavioral Health’s behavioral services and interdisciplinary care team. The Medical Assistant contributes to coordinated patient care through intake triage, screenings, vital signs, referrals, documentation, and office support. The role also helps patients navigate services and supports practitioners and behavioral health providers.

What you'll do

• Review and process internal and self-referrals for behavioral services
• provide intake triage
• assist with mental health screenings, vital signs, and lab referrals
• document vitals, screening results, patient history, and personal information in the EHR
• clear phone messages, check email and platforms, check fax/copier, greet patients respectfully, attend the front desk, and confirm next-day appointments.
