What you'll do

• Provide personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, shampooing, dressing, toileting, and skin care
• change bed linens and keep the patient’s living area orderly as appropriate
• may prepare a light meal and assist with feeding
• take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered and competency requirements are met
• assist with ambulation, exercise, and ordered range-of-motion procedures
• assist with self-administration of medication
• may do a load of laundry as appropriate
• meet patient safety needs and use equipment properly
• report patient condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse
• follow documentation, care, privacy, and infection-control procedures.
