The role leads manufacturing operations at The LYCRA Company’s Waynesboro site, which operates 24/7/365 across Essential Materials, Polymer, Spinning, and Beaming. The manager leads site operations teams and drives safety, compliance, productivity, and quality while meeting production schedules and business objectives. The position develops employees, improves operating performance, and communicates progress and issues with site and commercial leadership.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop a team of nine salaried employees and approximately 120 wage-role employees
• promote safety, health, and environmental compliance
• optimize use of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
• meet business objectives and production schedules
• maintain product standards
• address performance and capability gaps
• drive operational excellence and continuous improvement
• identify profitability opportunities
• develop improvement measures
• communicate plans and issues with site operations and commercial teams
• and mentor the team in root cause analysis. Primary schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with some off-hour interactions as required.
