Deputy Project Leader, Security and Electronic Systems

The Deputy Project Leader role is onsite in Washington, DC. Compensation is $104,000–$143,000 per year. The position is part of M.C. Dean’s Security and Electronic Systems business unit, which delivers electronic security systems for federal, local, and commercial customers. This training position supports project execution while developing the skills needed to supervise project employees and direct project work. It contributes to successful delivery by coordinating operations, budgets, change orders, schedules, documentation, and communication with customers and project stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Run day-to-day operations for a project or project subsection
• identify, price, track, and manage change orders
• monitor cash flow against expenses
• document project issues and conditions
• plan project completion and punch lists
• develop work goals and plans
• interpret blueprints and specifications
• compile submittals, safety plans, schedules, and change-order pricing using MS Project
• coordinate with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design professionals
• represent the company to customers and other external stakeholders
• document decisions, RFIs, and agreements.
