Pay ranges by level: Engineer I $34.62–$40.38 per hour, Engineer II $38.46–$44.23, Engineer III $43.27–$49.04, and Senior Engineer $46.63–$53.85. Applied Engineering is an employee-owned engineering consulting company serving manufacturers. The engineer designs custom machinery and automated systems for advanced manufacturing applications. The role contributes mechanical solutions, detailed models and drawings, prototype testing, troubleshooting, and cross-functional design integration to meet performance, safety, and manufacturability needs.

What you'll do

• Design custom machinery and automated systems
• engineer mechanical solutions involving friction stir welding, robotic fixtures, waterjet cutting, drilling and defastening, automated fastening, and sealant or adhesive dispensing
• create 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings
• collaborate to meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements
• support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
• contribute to equipment specifications, component selection, and project documentation
• work with suppliers and company partners.
