The Machinist / Fabricator role is onsite in Madison, VA, with pay of $28–$32 per hour. The position supports Madison Wood Preservers’ plant equipment and operations through machining, fabrication, welding, and mechanical repair.

What you'll do

• Operate manual lathes, mills, and other shop equipment
• machine to accurate measurements and tolerances
• interpret basic blueprints and specifications
• weld and fabricate components
• diagnose mechanical problems
• repair and maintain stationary and mobile equipment
• use precision measuring tools safely
• and maintain a clean, organized work area. The posting lists Monday–Friday hours of 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and says overtime, weekends, on-call shifts, or alternate schedules may be required.

Why this role
