Systems Engineer, Physical Security

Job overview

The Systems Engineer, Physical Security role is onsite in Fort Meade, MD. Compensation is $170,000–$180,000 per year. Quantum Sky’s engineers support mission needs across cyber, networks, software, and quantum technology. The engineer plans, installs, tests, maintains, and repairs physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. The role integrates technical work and resolves system issues to keep security equipment operating as designed.

What you'll do

• Develop Installation Design Plans and Base Electronic Systems Engineering Plans
• review system and error logs
• inspect and test access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection devices
• test backup battery systems
• install or reinstall equipment according to plans and specifications
• diagnose and repair equipment
• perform preventive and corrective maintenance
• isolate, repair, and test complex problems
• travel within and outside the continental United States for installation and maintenance activity.

Why this role

Requires an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility, CompTIA Security+ certification, and specified engineering education and experience or equivalent electronic security installation experience. Lenel Certified Expert is a plus.
