PREA Investigator

Job overview

The PREA Investigator role is onsite in Winton, NC, and pays $30 per hour. The GEO Group provides correctional and community reentry services, including evidence-based rehabilitation. The investigator conducts facility investigations related to the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), develops findings through interviews and research, and prepares reports in accordance with applicable standards. The role supports thorough investigations, facility compliance, and coordination with the facility’s PREA response and compliance teams.

What you'll do

• Conduct assigned PREA investigations
• respond to and process potential crime scenes
• gather information through interviews and research
• prepare investigative reports using PREA standards
• recommend appropriate action when necessary
• coordinate with Contract Compliance, the PSA Compliance Administrator, Corporate PREA team, and OPR
• work with the facility PREA response team
• and participate in Sexual Abuse Incident Reviews and After-Action Reviews as required. Requires a high school diploma or GED, four years of correctional-setting experience, and two years of progressively responsible investigative experience. Specialized investigation training must be completed.
