CDL Class A Freight Driver

Job overview

The CDL Class A Freight Driver role is onsite in San Leandro, CA, with dedicated long-haul and West Coast regional routes. Compensation is $100,000–$150,000 annually for the listed Class A routes. Roadway Moving operates warehouse-to-warehouse freight routes with no-touch freight and no residential deliveries or customer interaction. The driver moves freight safely and on schedule between Roadway warehouse and terminal locations. The role supports dedicated and regional transportation by completing inspections, maintaining required records, and communicating route progress and issues to dispatch.

What you'll do

• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer between warehouse and terminal locations
• haul no-touch freight on assigned lanes
• complete routes safely and on schedule
• perform DOT pre- and post-trip inspections
• complete trip logs, ELD entries, bills of lading, and DOT documentation
• communicate with dispatch about progress, delays, and mechanical issues
• follow FMCSA hours-of-service rules, DOT regulations, and company safety procedures.
