What you'll do

• Install, repair, and inspect HVAC and refrigeration equipment and associated systems
• diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems
• recharge systems with refrigerants
• overhaul compressors and condensers
• reset and test systems after power failures
• adjust and calibrate controls
• coordinate system shutdowns and startups
• supervise and instruct lower-grade mechanics
• follow EPA and other regulatory guidelines.
