Security Officer — Part-Time Unarmed Patrol

The Security Officer role is onsite in Reston, VA, with scheduled overnight shifts Thursday and Friday, 10 p.m.–6 a.m. Pay is $22 per hour. The officer supports security at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role exists to help safeguard the site, its people, and business operations through visible patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and clear reporting. The officer also provides professional assistance to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service and follow site-specific security procedures and access protocols
• conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office, common, parking, and perimeter areas
• monitor access points and visitor activity
• verify credentials as directed
• maintain logs and incident reports
• respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations
• report suspicious activity, policy violations, and facility concerns.
