Field Engineer

Job overview

Field Engineer is an onsite role based out of Hanover, MD, with project sites in the greater Baltimore and DC-Metro areas; pay is $75,000–$85,000 per year. Bering Straits Global Innovations supports federal construction projects and mission-critical infrastructure. The engineer assists field leadership with trade coordination, work planning, progress tracking, documentation, quality, and safety. The role helps project teams execute construction work accurately and safely, while developing toward broader field leadership responsibilities under the Superintendent's supervision.

What you'll do

• Assist the Superintendent with daily planning and subcontractor coordination
• review work readiness and materials
• support site logistics and meetings
• update look-ahead schedules and track production
• read project documents and maintain field records
• assist with inspections, quality tracking, and closeout
• follow safety plans and report hazards
• coordinate with project staff and subcontractors.

Why this role

Entry-level position; bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering or a construction/management-adjacent field. Valid driver's license, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain and maintain federal and military site access are required. Monday–Friday schedule with variable start times around 6:00–8:00 a.m.
