The Oil & Gas Title Attorney role is an onsite position based in Clovis, NM. The compensation for this role is $175,000 - $275,000 per year, supporting a midsize law firm with offices across Texas and Colorado. This role exists to conduct title examinations for oil and gas properties and prepare title opinions. The attorney will perform due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures and provide legal counsel on leasehold and royalty interests.

What you'll do

• Conduct thorough title examinations for oil and gas properties, including analysis of deeds, leases, probate documents, and other relevant documents.
• Prepare title opinions and curative documents based on findings from title examinations.
• Perform due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures, including review of purchase and sale agreements, joint operating agreements, and other transaction documents.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on issues related to oil and gas title, including leasehold and royalty interests, pooling and unitization, and title defects.
