Accounts Payable Clerk

Job overview

The Accounts Payable Clerk role is onsite in Fairfax, VA, with a full-time Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; pay is $25–$30 per hour on contract. Addison Group is partnering with a growing construction organization to support its accounting team. The clerk manages day-to-day accounts payable processing, maintains accurate records, and resolves invoice and payment issues. The work supports timely, accurate accounting and project-related job costing for the construction organization.

What you'll do

• Review vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, and authorization
• process vendor payments
• reconcile accounts payable activity to vendor statements and the general ledger
• research and resolve discrepancies
• respond to vendor inquiries
• assist with expense reports and reimbursements
• support three-way matching
• maintain records and documentation
• assist with audits
• support job costing and project-related AP
• participate in accounting system upgrades or implementations
• work with accounting leadership.
