Extended Day Assistant

Job overview

The Extended Day Assistant role is onsite in Saint Paul, MN, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with compensation of $20–$22 per hour. Sunny Hollow Montessori is an AMI-accredited school serving students from toddler through junior high. The assistant provides care for children during the after-school program, supporting a safe, nurturing environment and a smooth transition from the school day. The role works with other Extended Day staff to supervise students, maintain the program environment, and communicate with families.

What you'll do

• Actively supervise students and support consistent programming
• help prepare and maintain Extended Day environments
• take daily attendance
• support transitions from school-day programming
• report incidents or injuries to the Program Coordinator
• model and guide conflict resolution
• greet parents and assist with student departures
• attend Extended Day team meetings.
