What you'll do

• Review daily work assignments for regulatory compliance and consistent staffing
• assist the DON with nursing staff management, scheduling, reassignment, and policy enforcement
• participate in admission decisions and assess facility needs for new residents
• ensure physician visits, equipment, supplies, and staffing are available
• manage the nursing department budget and provide planning information
• collaborate on staff development
• work with regional personnel to improve care quality
• plan programs to improve outcomes and reduce unnecessary acute-care returns
• enforce abuse and neglect policies.
