The Floor Care Janitor Crew Lead role is onsite at the Richard Bolling Federal Building in Kansas City, Missouri. Pay is $19.50 per hour. The position supports Challenge Unlimited’s mission of providing employment opportunities and work support for people with disabilities. The crew lead assists with floor-care work while supervising and supporting employees and clients, helping them develop job skills and work toward greater independence. The role maintains safety, quality, and customer service standards while helping the crew meet contract requirements.

What you'll do

• Assist the crew with contract-required floor-care tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, restoring, buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning
• maintain and organize chemical and equipment storage
• maintain quality standards, inspect work, and correct deficiencies
• complete daily crew and building sheets
• monitor supplies and equipment and request replenishment
• perform preventative and minor equipment maintenance
• train and support clients in developing job skills
• supervise janitors and help assign tasks as assigned
• communicate expectations and report issues to management
• follow safety procedures and support customer satisfaction.
