Job overview

The Water Treatment Plant Operator role is onsite in Mission, TX. Pay is $14 per hour. Sharyland Water Supply Corporation provides drinking water to rural communities in and around Mission, McAllen, and Edinburg. The operator helps maintain reliable, compliant drinking water by monitoring treatment operations, conducting laboratory testing, maintaining records, and inspecting and operating plant equipment across rotating shifts.

What you'll do

• Monitor plant performance and readings
• conduct laboratory testing
• maintain operational records
• operate and inspect pumps, motors, chlorination and ammonia systems, and chemical tanks
• support installation, inspection, and repair work
• respond to breakdowns and after-hours incidents
• provide customer service
• perform local inspections and support work.
