What you'll do

• Operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Prepares patients for radiological procedures by positioning patient
• adjusting immobilization devices
• moving equipment into specified position
• adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. Develops and processes films and transmits to a Radiologist for interpretation. Administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Ensures prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Turns over and prepares room using aseptic technique between patients and cleans / sterilizes equipment. Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology
