Caregiver / Direct Support Staff

The Caregiver / Direct Support Staff role is onsite in clients’ homes and communities in the Tracy, Stockton, and Lathrop, CA area. Compensation is $20 per hour. Feel At Home Support Services supports adults with developmental disabilities to live independently and participate in their communities. The role provides one-to-one support that helps participants pursue goals in their individual plans while promoting independence, safety, and community participation. Support includes daily living instruction, access to resources, documentation, and coordination with families and service teams.

What you'll do

• Build respectful relationships with participants and their support circles
• assist with daily living skills, transportation, community integration, self-advocacy, and social skills
• help access appointments, benefits, and resources
• encourage self-determination and goal setting
• complete shift notes, service hours, and incident reports
• communicate with supervisors, Regional Center staff, and families
• follow safety, abuse prevention, and participant rights protocols
• provide CPR/first aid or seek emergency help when necessary
• attend required meetings, trainings, and planning sessions.

Why this role

Part-time, one-to-one work in clients’ homes; 3–6 hour shifts Monday–Friday and weekends; 4-hour shift listed; requires high school diploma or GED, six months’ relevant experience, California driver’s license, reliable vehicle, auto insurance, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
