Job overview

The Project Manager II role is onsite in Frederick, MD. Compensation is $145,000–$165,000 per year. The position supports J & J Worldwide Services’ government and defense business through operational support and project oversight at designated job sites. The role manages site transitions and service operations while monitoring contract performance, financial results, quality, and compliance. It coordinates with site directors, vendors, marketing, and business development to deliver contract requirements and support bids and operational improvements.

What you'll do

• Oversee designated job sites and phase-in activities, including hiring, equipping, and training personnel
• plan and execute maintenance, custodial, grounds, and emergency response operations
• monitor contract conformance and performance indicators
• audit accounts for compliance
• analyze monthly financials
• oversee corrective and preventive actions
• negotiate contract modifications and vendor pricing
• research bid opportunities
• collaborate on proposals, staffing, safety, quality, labor, payroll, and equipment plans.

Why this role

The posting requires a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related operational field, 10 years of project or operations management experience or equivalent, government contracting and financial administration experience, and CHFM certification. A government background screen is required.
