Resource Center Specialist

The Resource Center Specialist works onsite in Yakima, WA, for $17.30 per hour. Rod’s House works to build authentic connections with young people and envisions an end to youth homelessness in the Yakima Valley. The role supports young people experiencing homelessness by helping organize and provide Resource Center services, maintaining a consistent presence, and building respectful, trauma-informed relationships. It contributes to access to basic needs and other available supports.

What you'll do

• Organize the clothing room and track supplies
• recruit and schedule community meal partners and prepare meals when needed
• assist with intakes
• stock the outdoor pantry
• greet young people and distribute requested supplies
• conduct entry screening and weapon checks
• support drop-in services and access to case management, behavioral health, showers, and laundry
• maintain public spaces
• build authentic relationships with youth and young adults.
