Radiation Therapist

The Radiation Therapist role is onsite in Anchorage, AK. Compensation is $44–$57 per hour. The position supports cancer care at Anchorage Radiation Therapy. The therapist prepares patients and treatment rooms, verifies treatment plans and patient identity, positions patients, monitors treatment, and records treatment data. The role contributes to safe, accurate radiation therapy in coordination with radiation oncology and the care team.

What you'll do

• Prepare treatment rooms
• identify patients using four identifiers
• review patient charts and approved prescriptions and treatment plans
• position and align patients
• monitor patients during treatment
• record treatment data
• perform CT simulation as directed by a Radiation Oncologist
• and attend departmental or interdisciplinary meetings as requested.

Why this role

Requires graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program, ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy, current BLS certification, and at least one year of clinical radiation therapy experience. Occasional travel between centers and within the city is required; relocation assistance is offered.
