The role leads Motional’s AV Behavior Understanding and Evaluation team within Systems Readiness and Performance, supporting safe, reliable driverless vehicles.

What you'll do

• Decompose operational design domain requirements into system behaviors and interfaces
• translate legal and industry policy into implementable requirements and measurable acceptance criteria
• define evaluation metrics, reward functions, launch criteria, and driving policy
• plan and execute testing using simulation, closed-course tracks, and on-road data
• lead and develop the engineering team
• collaborate with Autonomy, Infrastructure, Operations, and Systems teams
• and use data science and evaluation methods to improve system performance.
