Field Service Technician (Calibration)

The Field Service Technician (Calibration) role is based onsite in Norfolk, VA, with customer-site work and travel Monday through Friday for up to 50% of the schedule. Pay is $25.34–$37.99 per hour. Transcat provides calibration and compliance services to industries including life sciences, aerospace, defense, energy, and utilities. The technician calibrates customer test equipment and develops skills to perform calibrations independently. The work supports accurate measurement and Transcat’s quality commitments through appropriate measurement techniques, maintained standards, and safe laboratory and customer-site practices.

What you'll do

• Perform onsite and laboratory calibration work
• travel locally and overnight on some projects
• identify and use appropriate measurement techniques
• maintain calibration standards
• work across calibration disciplines including dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, and pressure
• perform duties safely and in accordance with company requirements.
