What you'll do
- Obtain vital signs, measurements, and patient histories
- prepare exam rooms and follow infection-control practices
- assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- perform EKGs, spirometry, vision testing, wound care, ear lavage, point-of-care testing, venipuncture, and specimen collection
- administer medications and immunizations per standing orders
- track and communicate results
- review medications, allergies, and health-maintenance items
- provide patient education and follow-up guidance
- support referrals, chart preparation, scheduling, and population-health tasks
- document clinical work in the EHR
- maintain supplies and participate in huddles, quality initiatives, and audits.
