The Academic Tutor & Mentor role is an onsite position based in Felton, CA. Compensation is not specified for this role, which supports the City Year mission of helping students succeed in school. This role exists to provide coaching and mentoring to elementary, middle, and high school students. The tutor helps students improve attendance, academic performance, and positive behaviors through 1:1 and small group support.

What you'll do

• Work with identified students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and/or math skills.
• Create and implement a behavior management system.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress.
• Support extended day and virtual programming.
