Family Services Advocate

The Family Services Advocate role is onsite in Waverly, TN, with compensation of $20.95–$22.05 per hour. Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency works to strengthen communities by helping low-income families connect, grow, and maintain dignity; this role supports families in its Head Start and Early Head Start programs. The advocate helps families work toward self-sufficiency by identifying needs, connecting them with community resources, and following up on family partnership plans. The role also supports parent engagement and coordination between program centers and community agencies.

What you'll do

• Provide assistance, referrals, resources, workshops, training, and follow-up for enrolled families
• support the Parent Committee and parent and community volunteer opportunities
• complete and monitor Family Partnership Agreements
• maintain knowledge of local social-service resources
• advocate for Head Start families
• collect and review program data
• schedule appointments and accompany families as required
• communicate with parents and support program activities.
