Community-Based Mental Health Assessor (LPC or LCSW)

The Community-Based Mental Health Assessor (LPC or LCSW) role is based onsite in Ashland, Virginia, with client assessments conducted in person or virtually. EMS of Virginia supports community-based programs including Intensive In-home, Mental Health Skill Building, and Crisis Services. The assessor completes evaluations and related authorization documentation to help connect clients with appropriate community-based services. The role coordinates with the assessment and supervisory team, and EMS may provide licensure supervision for a suitable candidate who is eligible for supervision toward licensure.

What you'll do

• Meet with clients in person or virtually to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments
• complete assessment documentation in the Lauris electronic health record
• gather information for Medicaid MCO authorization requests and submit requests electronically
• communicate with the assessment and supervisory team.
