What you'll do

  • Teach a curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Sciences.
  • Develop students' practices in questioning, modeling, constructing explanations, data analysis, argumentation, and conducting interactive labs.
  • Create an environment for scientific discourse.
  • Facilitate student-led discourse using evidence for claims and critiques.
  • Facilitate student-led inquiry and lab/project-based performance tasks.
  • Work with the Science department on academic and engagement goals.
  • Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze student work.
  • Differentiate instruction.
  • Build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching.
  • Participate in school-wide meetings.
  • Partner with grade level team.
