Network & Security Engineer

Job overview

The Network & Security Engineer role is hybrid, with the listing based in Tacoma, WA and regular onsite work across client locations in the South Sound region. Compensation is $95,000 per year. The engineer designs, deploys, and hardens client network and security infrastructure, with project delivery as the primary focus. The role also provides escalation support when capacity allows and helps clients improve resilience, security, and IT governance.

What you'll do

• Design and implement VLAN segmentation, managed switching, wireless architecture, and VPN connectivity
• configure backup internet and failover routing, SD-WAN, and routed networks
• deploy and manage firewalls, MFA, PAM, MDM, and endpoint security
• develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans, governance deliverables, and SIEM deployments
• perform IT audits and infrastructure assessments
• travel regularly to client sites in the South Sound/Puget Sound region.
