Radiology Technologist at Urgent Team in Maryville, TN. This is a full-time, onsite position with a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, including every-other weekend shifts. Compensation is not specified. This role performs x-ray testing, operates diagnostic equipment, and assists with Medical Assistant duties to support patient care and diagnostic imaging services.
What you'll do
- Promptly greets patients.
- Consistently communicates with patients on wait times.
- Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations.
- Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
- Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures.
- Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information.
- Assists with patient transfers.
- Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
- Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit.
- Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
- Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
- Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills.
- Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, AR State X-Ray License. ARRT Certification and Medical Assistant experience preferred.
